Farm Ranch/Huge Hot tub/Retro/Solar/15 Downtown

It’s hard to write a review for this listing because even though we booked it 6 months in advance we did NOT get to stay in it. Much to our surprise when we checked into the house it was a completely different property that was not similar to the one we booked. We immediately contacted Aaron thinking it was a mistake. Turns out the scheduling system “accidentally” put us in the wrong property, even though my confirmation was for the property listed above. At this point we have 12 people traveling out of state to Indianapolis to be a part of our wedding in less than 2 days and Aaron’s only solution was for us to cancel the booking or to stay in the incorrect property. Normally this situation would not bother me if we were told in advance but we were completely blind sided. Aaron insisted that the house they moved us to, without our consent was an upgrade because it had more beds and was on the pond, which was completely covered in algae. The house did have more beds but 4 out of the 7 beds were singles, two of which were bunk beds that could not comfortably fit an adult. Overall, the beds and bathrooms in the property they moved us to did not reflect our original booking, resulting in part of our party having to find other accommodations. I offered other solutions to help our situation which they completely ignored. At that point I put the situation on the back burner so I could enjoy my wedding. I messaged Aaron after to try and work out compensation which they ignored.

This is a great property with excellent hosts and everything you need for a large group. We enjoyed our stay and made many family memories. Thank you!

Just the perfect distance away from all the attractions. Stayed for 6 days and went to the zoo (amazing) , children's museum twice (it's huge), and the State museum (unexpectedly fun for kids and adults). House was funky and older but comfortable and kept the kids entertained. Kid's and parents loved the hot tub and waking up to horses grazing in the pasture was so amazing. Only negatives were we had some plumbing issues with showers but the host was very responsive and thoughtful. Also I wish there were power outlets by the head of the beds for electronics. I had to plug chargers in on the other side of the room. Other than that it was an amazing vacation and so relaxing!

This is a well marketed property but when we arrived we were disappointed at the closeness of other rentals and the animals were not as described. Looking back at the listing it’s exactly as it says it’s just the photos make it seem more private and that there would be more animal interaction and the river is a very long walk. Our host was courteous but only via message. We had several major issues with the property and there were efforts to resolve the issues or move us to a different location away from the ranch but we really wanted the outdoor space close to who we were in Indy to visit and to be in a safe area. The refrigerator is very small but there is an extra small fridge in the game room. We did ask for a repair to be made to the shower but were not notified in advance that there would be someone entering the home to make the repair and it was done while we were away for the day. That may be normal but we were uneasy that someone was in the space with our things without specifying when they would be coming. We kept trying to close the fence doors to have privacy and they were continually opened. We even propped it closed and that was taken down maybe for lawn care. We did not use the hot tub because it was hot during our stay but it was clean. It just wasn’t what we had expected but still was nice to have a safe place to stay. I thought there was a lake but that was at a different location in Martinsville.

Great accommodation for what we were needing. We had 4 adults and 5 kids age ranging between 6 and 17. Decorations were very retro and unique, game room was a great addition, and hot tub was fantastic for relaxing in the evening. Host was very responsive and we would definitely stay here again or would trust staying at another one of their locations.
